The things I do while not working

Male Face by tokkamak
Male Face
I don't like painting males and so I can't. Time to fix that and put 'mom, I don't want to paint guys' attitude somewhere where sun doesn't shine.

He turned out looking like Archer... somehow. IDK...

Speedpaint and study, 90 min.
Vacation TIme by tokkamak
Vacation TIme
What started as routine speedpaint, turned into a postcard for my husband (as much as I understand his reluctance, being a sort of workaholic myself, I do believe that occasional vacation can boost productivity in the long run).

Speedpaint, 90 min. or so.
Wedding by tokkamak
For some reason after three years of marriage I started to wonder what wedding actually feels like (we decided not to waste money at the time and frankly no regrets, I'm just curious).

Speedpaint, 60 min. or so.
Self-portrait by tokkamak
This was supposed to be a self-portrait, yet it turned out I've got no idea what I look like. All facial features on their own are right, however when I put them together — it's just a different face.

Study, approximately 90 minutes, using mirror.

Hello everyone, tokkamak here!
I'm a self-taught artist, who loves drawing/painting/stitching/imagining and all sorts of cool visual stuff. I also love learning new things and improving my skills. Right now I do mobile games graphics for a living, I like my job for now. I dream that someday I'll be skillful enough to work for some video game studio as concept artist.

I'm ok with critique. Actually, that's not true. I love critique, especially constructive one:) So feel free to comment, share your thoughts and knowledge if you so wish. Thanks in advance for that.

Unfortunately, I can't thank everyone personally, so I'll say it here. Thank you for faves and watch! This is very inspiring and means a lot to me.

Hello everyone, tokkamak here!

Started working on ling-planned comic series. This where classic 2d animation course really came in handy, as the most important thing we're taught there is capturing motion, searching for expressive and understandable poses — which is exactly the thing I lacked in all my previous attempts (let's be fair, I had a lot of problems even with static poses, getting real mess when it used to come to motion as I had absolutely no understanding of basic body construction, well, I mean I knew it theoretically, but there is a significant difference between knowing and understanding).

I'm almost sure it's going to be a very long journey, as basically our creative team consists of two wannabe-cool-comic-book-guys including myself as the only artist and my collab as writer.

So... The story is set in post-apocalyptic world that emerged from combination of natural disaster and followup wars for resources. I had to drop my favorite nuclear war this time, yet we have other reasons for variety of mutations, dangerous wastelands and all those sweet little things that make screwed up world a nice thing to tell about. This is the world 15 y.o Grace is traveling with her robot companion CodX. Being engineering wonderchild Grace is a little bit too pragmatic, while CodX, former library bot is so to say an impersonation of high moral standards.

Looks like we've finally settled our "production pipeline". I just can't do all the work digitally, I don't know, maybe that's some sort of side effect of the course, where we're required to do all our animation assignments on paper, which results in literally hundreds of drawings made traditionally. However, digital inking and coloring works perfectly well with pencil "skeleton" made on paper.

We'll see how it turns out. Stay tuned!

Hello, I am contacting people I have decided to watch and admire to tell them about a project we have underway.

Myself and Traumwelt (visit his DA page here-->nemoalleintraumwelt.deviantart…) have begun creating our first comic book together. It is called Old Harry's tale, and it is a supernatural and philosophical drama. The first six pages of Issue #1 will be submitted to Tumblr and DA

We call ourselves Scapegoat comics and all news of the project will be relayed here at the Scapegoat comics club -->… And I would like all those who watch me to join.

The project is going to be set to a kickstarter which will be linked to the club page later within the month. And all who join the club will have early access to the rewards including the free digital intro comic bening the rules.

If you want to join it is automatically approved, you just need to click a button. If you don't want to, that's fine. It's your choice after all.

Also even if you do not join the club I would be most pleased if you watched this video we made and tell us what you think-->…

Once again, you can ingore all of this. You have free will after all.
